Online program for people who use drugs problematically.

100% ONLINE

Our proposal allows you to undergo a process of change without leaving your home, from anywhere in the world.

Union health plans and private medical insurers that cover the full therapeutic process in our program.

We support change and help people build meaningful lives.

We are pioneers in providing support with a person-centered approach that also includes the family.

Our support is personalized and adapted to each person who reaches out to us for help.

A process of personal development and emotional maturation is possible.

We know the problem is not in the drugs themselves, but rather in the relationship people establish with them—and the same applies to certain behaviors. We offer a process of self‑knowledge to help understand the emotional world of people who use substances problematically or who are addicted, which is often shaped by emotional immaturity and a lack of resources to manage these experiences.

Humanistic Psychology.

Person‑Centered Approach.

Our therapeutic approach is based on creating the necessary and sufficient conditions for our clients to work through the underlying pattern that leads them into addiction, and in this way to mature these aspects and acquire new resources that place them in a different position.

In general terms, this involves reviewing aspects related to emotional instability or dysregulation, impulsivity, difficulty tolerating discomfort, poor stress management, a compulsive need for relief from pain, an excessive need to release dopamine by any means, insecure attachment patterns, early emotional trauma, and failed attempts at external regulation, among others.

For us, people suffering from a substance use disorder or a behavioral disorder may present a set of causes that, if not understood, will be very difficult to reverse.

For this reason, our therapeutic approach is to provide tools and plans that focus on the person rather than on the object—drug or behavior. In this way, each form of support we offer is tailored to the individual world of that client, adapting our entire framework to the person and their family, instead of expecting them to fit into a standardized treatment structure.

We believe it is important to provide a working framework in which users of our model of care can understand the limits that cannot be transgressed if they wish to belong to this online community of support.

In general, we do not accept the justification of violating the core values essential for change to work, using “disease” as an excuse. If someone engages in verbal abuse, breaches the confidentiality agreement, or establishes ongoing patterns of transgression—these being just examples—then that person cannot justify their lack of responsibility by hiding behind their condition of having a disorder.

In their own words

“I want to tell you that if you’re listening to this and you’re having a problem with substance use, or if you’re a family member or partner of someone going through this problem…”

FEDERICO C.

“I started at CHOICE three years ago and today I’m finishing my treatment. If you’re listening to this audio, it might be because you’re in the same place I was when I began—angry, lost, and distant from your loved ones…”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is change in addictive behaviors effective through online care?

There are many studies that compare online therapy with in‑person therapy and show similar rates of improvement in symptoms related to a substance use disorder, although it is important to highlight that the suitability of the format will depend on the profile and needs of each client, as well as their family and social context.

Tele‑therapy offers greater comfort, anonymity, and privacy, removing logistical barriers and making access easier in remote areas. It allows flexible scheduling, continuity during travel or major life changes, and access to specialists who would not be available locally. It can also increase treatment adherence in some groups, such as young people accustomed to digital environments or people who have difficulties attending in person.

Ultimately, success depends on the client’s motivation, the quality of the therapeutic alliance, and their commitment to the psychological work.

Does this program work for me to stop using cocaine?

Yes, it is possible to stop using cocaine through a treatment delivered entirely online, as long as the person is clinically stable and supported by a professional team specialized in addictions.

Online therapy, especially from a humanistic school and with a Person‑Centered Approach— which is the model we follow and has proven highly effective for many users, mainly because of the kind of relational work it offers—makes online care feasible in these kinds of problems.

More and more services now offer remote support, intensive follow‑up, and personalized programs through video calls, messaging, and also online group sessions.

I would like to know more about the Person‑Centered Approach.

The Person‑Centered Approach (PCA) developed by Carl Rogers is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy and helping that is based on full trust in human beings’ capacity for growth and personal development. Rogers proposes that every person has an innate tendency to grow, heal, and adapt, and that, in a context of empathy, unconditional acceptance, and congruence offered by the therapist, individuals can unlock their potential and solve their own problems by themselves.

The PCA (Person‑Centered Approach) is a method centered on respect and trust in the person as the expert in their own process of change, supported by basic therapeutic attitudes that foster self‑awareness, self‑esteem, and autonomy for a fuller and more coherent life.

If I live outside Argentina, can I do the program online with you?

Yes, of course. You just need to get in touch so we can have an initial interview and learn from you what is going on and the kind of help you need. After that interview, we will ask you to attend a few more sessions to understand your situation better, and then we will share our opinion on the plan we think you could follow to move out of the situation that is making you feel so bad.

I live in a Central European country; are there groups and individual sessions offered in your time zone?

Many of the people we help live outside the Argentine Republic, including clients from Uruguay, Spain, Chile, Peru, and the United States. These clients can join any of the groups we offer in different time slots. For example, we run groups at 7:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 9:00 am, all in Argentina’s time zone. Those who face time differences can choose the group that best fits their daily routine.

All groups are online and are facilitated by specialists in supporting people with problematic substance use.

If I need a prescription to buy psychiatric medication, how do I access it?

What does the CHOICE program treatment for addictions involve?

CHOICE program offers, first, a Diagnostic Evaluation phase, to determine whether the person coming to us for help is able to sustain the approach we can offer, or whether their situation is complex enough to require a higher‑level of care.

We offer several therapeutic modalities: individual therapy, counselling processes, group therapy, and family therapy. We also work with all the roles of the people supporting the client, such as groups for parents, support networks, siblings, friends, and couples. All of these are delivered virtually, facilitating adherence and quick access wherever you are.

What criteria would make me ineligible for remote treatment?

Online treatment is not recommended without medical supervision in cases of active substance use, severe withdrawal symptoms, or when there is a risk of serious physical or psychiatric complications.

In these situations, in‑person or hybrid (mixed) care remains necessary.

A responsible clinical team must first assess whether an online format is sufficient for the person’s needs; if it is not, the patient will be referred to face‑to‑face services.

Cambiar tu forma de relacionarte o dejar aquello que te hace perder el control es posible.
