FAQs

How can I access this synchronous course offered at CHOICE?

The first thing you need to do is schedule an appointment with the Program Executive Director, Counsellor Juan Facundo Cincunegui, so he can get to know you and evaluate if you can undertake the training with us. Once you are admitted, you can pay in full or choose to make monthly payments. By paying your enrollment fee and the first installment, you can start the program.

To become certified as an Addiction Counselor at CHOICE, is it necessary to take exams?

There is no exam required to certify; the only requirement is that the student meets a 75% attendance rate in the Diploma program and that, when evaluating the learning process, the Facilitator and Trainer certify that the role and the framework in which it is exercised have been understood. However, when taking courses on Campus, to progress through the study stages and topics that make up the theoretical framework of the Training, it is necessary to pass the quizzes requested from module to module.

What is the duration of the Diploma? When does registration open?

The Diploma lasts one year, starting from the first synchronous class taken with the Program Director.

Since it is a personalized training, with classes scheduled between the student and the Trainer, it does not run from one particular month to another, but rather adapts to the needs of both parties. For this reason, there is no specific opening or starting month for the Diploma, and students can begin at any time of the year that they find most convenient.

Does this diploma certify me in a regulated or official way?

This diploma is not regulated, meaning it is not official. The certification is issued by the Spanish Association of Counselling, which belongs to PCE Europe and supports members with membership, and it is also certified by the Mental Health and Addictions Program, CHOICE Counselling.

If I have a problem and cannot continue with the training, will I get a refund for the money I paid?

If you have paid for the entire Diploma, you will not be eligible for a refund, except for a special reason that justifies the withdrawal, which must be submitted for consideration by the Program’s Governing Committee. You can only stop paying in full if your enrollment and payment method are monthly; in that case, you will stop paying the monthly fee without the right to certification or to continue on the campus if you drop out.

At the end of this DIPLOMA PROGRAM, you will obtain

  • A PDF guide of the topics covered in the Training

  • A Certificate of Observation Hours and Theory Hours issued by the CHOICE Counselling Program in conjunction with the Spanish Association of Counselling, based on the Person-Centered Approach.

  • A collection of videos that you can watch and access unlimitedly.

  • A collection of videos and PDF materials that you can download to your computer.
